Disclaimers & Legal Information

We are not medical professionals.

We are not medical professionals, nor do we claim to be or attempt to present ourselves as so. Any information we share on our website, social media, or through any other avenue that may be construed as medical information, whether that be implicitly or explicitly, is not intended to be medical advice.

Please seek the advice and care of a medical professional if you have any medical conditions. Our information is not intended to treat, diagnose, or cure any medical condition.

Any information we share about our personal medical journey, medical experiences, or medical conditions is strictly our experience. It is not medical advice and may or may not be applicable to your personal journey.

We are not nutritionists.

Any nutritional information we share is simply what we found works for our body and our specific health journey. We are not nutritionists, and we do not claim to be. When I was struggling with my health and was unable to receive impactful help from medical professionals, I sought out free information from functional nutritionists and registered dieticians, primarily available on social media. Any nutritional claims we make are based on what we’ve read online from their accounts. We have not conducted any studies nor examined any peer-reviewed industry studies.

Please do your own research and consult your own practitioner, whether that be a medical doctor, functional doctor, or nutritionist for your specific circumstance and health journey.

We just want to help.

We just want to help you the best we can by sharing what worked for us. If you don’t agree with our opinions, that’s great! If it helps you, that’s great! We don’t claim to be professionals or experts in this field. We just know what worked for us in our unique experience. To reiterate, if you are experiencing any health issues, whether they be health issues I went through personally or different health issues, they are best addressed with a medical professional or other practitioner of your choice.

Curing Autism with nutrition or detox.

We do not believe that autism is a condition that can be cured, or that it needs to be cured. It is a neurotype, not a defect. However, we have noticed a tremendous difference in our autistic son’s ability to self-regulate, tolerate triggers, and more, when his diet is free of artificial colors, artificial preservatives, pesticides, and other controversial ingredients. Our goal is to help improve his day-to-day life by fueling his body with optimized nutrition — not “cure” his autism.

Many opinions online from other parents to autistic children claim that autism is a symptom of toxic load or environmental factors, and can therefore be “cured” or “sent into remission” by “detoxing” their body and diet. While we haven’t personally experienced this, nor are we sure that we agree with it, we believe there is merit in improving his diet simply because nutrition is important, and a nourished body can better regulate itself with proper support.

We have a long way to go on his feeding journey, but we have made encouraging progress along the way.
